✨ Ask Boldly, Receive Lavishly ✨
The art of declaring what you want—then letting the universe surprise you.
Lately, I’ve been living in the “or better.”
Not as a backup plan.
Not as a consolation prize.
But as a sacred opening. A whisper and wink to the universe that says: I trust you to blow my mind.
I thought I was ready. I had prayed, planned, and spreadsheeted my way to the dream home. Sold all our furniture. Hired movers. Booked the truck.
And then—the call.
“We need you to bring an additional $30K to closing.”
And before the day turned to night, that number had ballooned to $56K.
What the actual F?
This would have stopped every past version of me in my tracks.
We had a choice:
Call the movers and delay. Wait it out. Try to claw back control.
Or leap into the wild unknown, trusting that if this home didn’t become ours, it would only be because something better was waiting.
And, I’m in the business of co-creating miracles.
Plus, as my husband reminded me gently—but firmly—“You won’t be able to focus or create in this mess - you’ll go bonkers.”
He was right. The only way to create our dream was to keep moving forward.
Let me be clear:
I was not serenely trusting through the whole process.
I cried. I snapped at my husband. I questioned everything.
But still—every day—I chose to take at least one aligned action.
One thing that moved me toward the life I could feel pulsing just beyond the veil.
Because here’s what I’ve learned:
Every time I’ve clung tightly to a hyper-specific outcome, I’ve limited my own magic.
But when I’ve danced with desire and left space for grace, miracles have shown up in ways I couldn’t have architected if I tried.
This isn’t about bypassing specifics.
It’s about partnering with possibility.
I stopped gripping the outcome and started tending the energy.
And what we received?
Better than I asked for. Better than I imagined.
Because “or better” isn’t an escape hatch. It’s a declaration.
That you are open. That you are willing.
That you trust your desires and the divine timing that holds them.
So tell me, beloved—
Where are you gripping too tight?
What would it look like to loosen your hold and let something better rush in?
Where have you been trying to micromanage magic?
The next time you journal, script, vision board, or pray—try adding those two enchanted words:
...or better.
And then hold on. The universe has a flair for the dramatic.
PS: Profit is protest. So is audacious trust. So is choosing momentum over paralysis. So is trusting your body, your blueprint, and your belief. May you dare to ask for what you want—and receive even better.
Song of the Day: Empire by Neoni
and oh, that song, too. Calling in the queen, rising to power.
I was out here on the Interwebs hearing that last minute story and watching you not crumble but rising to meet the profound challenge and move into your dream house. I’m loving the sunrises and sunsets and what you’re creating from that space. We are never done and you just keep moving forward. You’re an inspiration and an example of not saying can’t — because you showed us you…we…can.
