"Or Better" is a Threshold
How you plan determines what can meet you there
Most people are taught that the power of a goal lives in its precision.
Name the number.
Fix the target.
Organize effort toward a clean endpoint.
Precision has value. Numbers give shape. Strategy gives spine. Action moves energy through a business.
And still, something subtle happens when a goal is held as a sealed container.
Achieved becomes complete.
Complete becomes quiet.
Quiet becomes the edge of what’s allowed next.
“Or better” changes the architecture of the ask.
The goal stays intact.
The plan remains disciplined.
The number keeps its authority.
What shifts is the perimeter.
“Or better” signals that you know what you want and you are available for outcomes that arrive with greater intelligence, timing, and scale than your current vantage point can design.
This is where many plans soften into something more powerful.
Strategy eases its grip.
Desire stops bracing.
The nervous system receives the message that success can arrive with support rather than strain.
When the perimeter softens, the body stops preparing for impact and starts preparing for receipt.
A $50K month or better becomes a living floor.
A $500K year or better becomes an invitation for alignment, resources, collaborators, and opportunities that exceed the original sketch.
Money responds to this posture.
So does momentum.
So does your body.
Because openness paired with clarity creates a field where solutions move faster and land cleaner.
There is a name for this posture.
A way of relating to goals that holds precision in one hand and wonder in the other.
I call it flirting with infinity. And I have far more to say about how to do that without losing your center, your standards, or your strategy.
We’ll go there on Monday.
👉 Reflection Prompts
• Where have your goals felt complete in a way that also feels constricting?
• What number or outcome are you holding as a finish line that might be ready to become a floor?
• Where could your plans invite more support, timing, or collaboration without losing their integrity?
• What shifts when you add the words or better to a current goal?
🔥 Daily Affirmation
I set goals that honor my vision and my vitality.
I plan with clarity and welcome outcomes that expand my horizon.
I allow support, timing, and opportunity to meet me in motion.
I receive results that feel aligned, elegant, and sustaining.
I trust my desires to guide me toward more than I can predict.
January 23rd at 1:30 pm Pacific, I’m teaching this live in my free masterclass:
”Or Better” Business Planning.
We’ll work with real numbers, real strategy, and an energetic posture that brings those plans to life.
Profit plan and portal.
Structure with breath.
If your goals feel close to clicking into something truer, you’re already at the door.
PS: Profit is Protest, and so is refusing to shrink your future to fit the limits of your current imagination. Your plans deserve the room to surprise you.

It was so interesting to witness what moved through me while reading Shaneh.
I feel the whole concept of goals has been thrown out of the window for me in the last 2 months. The term goals itself feels restrictive because it comes from the mind.
The soul simply knows. There's no "trust". There's just certainty and precision. The "and more" feels like an...of course that's gonna happen! It doesn't need to be said!
Thank you for holding space for me to observe what's coming up🥹💕
