I was asked a fascinating question on a podcast yesterday:
“If I keep doing the right things and more clients come my way… am I stealing from my competitor? Am I taking food off their table?”
Let’s breathe into that for a moment.
It’s a beautiful question.
It’s tender. And it’s a trap.
Because when we build from a place of lack—when we internalize the myth that there’s only so much room at the table—we weaponize our own success against our values.
We shrink our brilliance so someone else doesn’t feel small.
We delay our offers so we don’t outshine.
We’ve been taught that someone has to go without… and to be a “good person” that someone should be us.
But here’s the truth I anchor to:
I have no competition.
There is no one else wired like me.
No one else who sees what I see, how I see it.
No one else who can build the exact frequency, framework, and fire that I bring to this work.
And the same is true for you.
You are not stealing.
You are being found.
You are being chosen by the very people who recognize themselves in your resonance.
They are not abandoning someone else.
They are aligning with you.
There is a sacred trust in that.
A responsibility, yes. But not a burden.
Because here’s the thing:
The people who are meant for you? They’ve already been scanning the horizon for your signal. Your body will recognize it before your brain does — the low hum of certainty that says, they’re mine, and I’m theirs.
Your only job is to turn up the volume so they don’t miss you.
And when we all do that—when we show up as who we truly are, not some watered-down, market-friendly version—we stop playing tug-of-war with other businesses and start co-creating an ecosystem of mutual thriving.
The old paradigm taught us to hoard, to dominate, to win.
The new one teaches us to trust alignment, honor discernment, and magnetize through truth. There’s room for brilliance in every direction when we stop confusing resonance with rivalry. Prosperity multiplies when we root for each other’s overflow. Alignment makes allies of us all.
And yet, so many of us still hesitate to take our seat at the table.
So if you’ve been holding back—
From selling.
From raising your prices.
From going all in on that next offer—
Because some part of you is scared it might hurt someone else…
I offer this reframe:
You are not taking.
You are opening.
You are re-aligning the grid.
And the people who come into your orbit?
They weren’t stolen.
They were starved.
You’re the feast they’ve been hungry for.
Pull out a chair. Offer them their seat. Serve generously.
Overflow feeds us all.
👉 Reflection Prompt:
Where have I been shrinking to avoid outshining someone I respect—and what happens if I stop?
🔥 Daily Affirmation:
My resonance is my offering.
I trust the alignment of my clients, my path, my timing.
There is no competition—only calibration.
The more I rise, the more we all overflow.
PS: Around here, Profit is Protest. When we let our right-fit people find us, and we serve them from overflow, we don’t just build revenue—we build a revolution.
